The Rodney Jail, located at 135 Queens Line next to the fairgrounds, was built in 1890 for $200 with two tiny cells making it the oldest, smallest jail in North America. The original cell doors of riveted, flat steel bar, the magistrate's table and pot-bellied stove portray the business of law and order as it was usually kept on Saturday nights. Open from May (Victoria Day weekend) to September (Labour Day)
