Rodney Reconstruction
The County of Elgin in partnership with the Municipality of West Elgin, and GM Blue Plan Engineering Limited are planning to reconstruct sections of Furnival Road and Queens Line to replace aging infrastructure that has exceeded its expected lifecycle.

Furnival Road (CR103)- from approximately 300 m north of Centre Street to 60 m North of Main street and Queen Street (CR104)- from approximately 300 m west of Flora Street to Furnival Road (CR103)

Roads
Our Municipality has over 350 kilometers of roads! This includes 48 kilometers of paved, 190 kilometers of gravel, 100 kilometers of County Roads, and 15 kilometers in Rodney and West Lorne.
Fill out a Request for Service if you have issues with road maintenance or notice damage like potholes.
If you would like to add a new laneway, you will need to fill out a Road Occupancy/Entrance Permit. There is a $100 non-refundable fee for road occupancy or entrance permit and a $400 refundable fee for entrance permit or $1,000 refundable for road occupancy permit.
Sidewalks
We maintain almost 17 kilometers of sidewalks in Rodney and West Lorne! Each year, we close our sidewalks between November 1 and April 1. To find out which sidewalks are maintained during the winter, visit our Winter Maintenance page.
