Elgin County Marina Closures

Elgin County Warden, Dave Mennill issued a statement regarding the closure of marinas in Elgin County.  

Spring Tick Alert - 2020

Even though temperatures are still cool, ticks are already active. If you’re spending time outdoors while physical distancing, make sure to protect yourself from tick bites:

✅ Wear light-coloured, long sleeve shirt and pants
✅ Tuck your shirt in and pull your socks over your pants
✅ Apply insect repellent containing DEET
✅ Do a tick check on yourself, children and pets
✅ If a tick is attached, remove it immediately with tweezers

Notice to Water Customers

Flushing of all fire hydrants has been scheduled in the Municipality from Monday April 20th to Friday May 1st, 2020 for hydrant maintenance purposes.  Please note you may experience discolouration in the water.  If you do, please run your water for several minutes until the water clears.  There may also be s slight drop in water pressure.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
