Transit Bus Driver Job Posting

The Municipality of West Elgin has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Four Counties Transit Bus Driver. Four Counties Transit Bus provides transportation to individuals in the Four Counties area to and from medical appointments, other wellness related activities, community programs and shopping. Drivers provide superior customer service and work closely with individuals with special needs and seniors. Drivers are required to aid passengers boarding the bus, maneuverings wheelchairs, fastening Q-straint belts, lifting portable assistive devices ambulatory passengers. Drivers are required to have a solid geographical knowledge of the Four Counties area to ensure efficient routing and availability to work varying hours between 8 am and 5 pm.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum class B, E or F licence
Experience with wheelchairs and or Q-straints is an asset
Must have clean drivers abstract
Must provide a criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
Be physically capable of performing repetitive lifting of objects up to 50 lbs
Must have sound knowledge of the Four Counties Area

Pay range: $18.37 /hr. - $22.96 /hr.
