West Elgin Fire Department Now Recruiting Firefighters!

The West Elgin Fire Department is composed of trained volunteer/paid-on-call firefighters who promote pubic fire safety and protect the lives and property of our citizens. Firefighters are dedicated to responding to 9-1-1 calls related to fires, medical emergencies, and rescues.  Currently, we are recruiting for Probationary Firefighters at both Rodney and West Lorne Fire Stations, with daytime availability preferred.

Fall Daylight Savings Reminder

Just a friendly reminder to turn your clocks back one hour this Saturday, October 31!

Now is also a great time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. 

West Elgin Festival of Lights

The West Elgin Festival of Lights will run on December 4 and 5, 2020 from 6-9p.m. 

Visit the Arts Culture and Heritage page on www.westelgin.net for more information. Float or Accessible Transit registration is open. Registration closes November 24, 2020 at 3 p.m.  

Service Ontario Closed October 30, 2020

Service Ontario Office is CLOSED on Friday October 30, 2020 and will reopen on Monday November 2, 2020.  Service Ontario Offices in Newbury ( 9 am-5 pm) and Dutton (8:30 am to 4:00 pm) are open.
