Have you found a tick on a human? Submit a photo through eTick.ca and have it identified online instead of visiting the health unit during COVID-19.
Download the eTick.ca app (https://www.etick.ca/) on Google Play or the App Store, snap a photo of the tick and submit it. An expert will identify the tick within 48-hours and contact you via email with the results and any necessary public health measures.
Ticks can still be dropped off in-person at the health unit as well. Learn more at http://swpublichealth.ca/ticks.

While the Province announced that outdoor pools can reopen as of Friday June 12, 2020, there are several items that need to be addressed before West Elgin can open the Rodney pool, in order to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
Staff are diligently working on a plan to open this facility safely and provide this service to our community. A plan will be presented to West Elgin Council at the June 25, 2020 Council meeting.
Beach Open

West Elgin Beach is now open to the public. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and keep to 10 person gatherings. Remember to wash your hands often.
