December 26, 2020 Garbage Collection Delayed

Waste Connections has reported that the Garbage Collection scheduled for December 26, 2020 (normally Friday Collection) has been delayed.  They are working on getting back on track.  If your garbage hasn't been collected please leave the bags out and it will be collected.  

2020 Holiday Decorating Contest Winners

Thank you to all the houses that entered in this year's contest!
Congratulations to the winners of the 2020 Holiday Decorating Contest:

The Traditional category winner is the Johnson household at 275 Mary Street, West Lorne.

The Inflatable category winner is the Wrobel household at 138 Graham Street, West Lorne.

The Griswold Spectacular category was a tie between two households the winners are the Szusz household at 222 Jane Street, Rodney and the Kalita household at 25000 Queens Line, West Lorne. 

Reminder: Water Bills Due

This is just a friendly reminder that water bills are due Thursday, December 24, 2020.
The municipal office will close to the public at 12 noon on December 24 until further notice.

2020 Christmas Garbage Collection

Reminder if your Garbage Collection is on Friday, due to Christmas Day your collection this week will be Saturday December 26, 2020. 

2020 Landfill Holiday Hours

Please note the following special hours of operation for the West Elgin Landfill for the 2020/2021 Holiday Season:

• Closed December 25, 26 and January 1
• Open December 23, 30 & January 2, 9 am-4 pm
