No Change to Garbage & Recycling Collection on July 1, 2021
There will be NO CHANGE to garbage and recycling collection on July 1, 2021. If your regular collection day is Thursday July 1, 2021 please have your garbage and recycling curbside by 7 am on July 1, 2021.

Reminder to Obey Traffic Signs
The Municipality of West Elgin would like to remind residents that they must obey all traffic signs. We understand that the construction is disrupting normal traffic flow and routes, but all drivers still must obey stop signs and other traffic signs along detour routes.

Gypsy Moths News Release

European Gypsy Moths
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has issued this media release about Gypsy Moths. According to the LTCA gypsy moth outbreaks occur every 7 to 10 years, with eggs being laid over the winter on the bark of trees, in the spring eggs hatch and the larvae move up into the trees to feed into July. Then, spongy egg masses can be seen on tree trunks and branches, followed by pupae and adult moths in July and August.
